The recipient is fully dressed in comfortable clothes and usually lies down during a treatment to maximise a deep relaxation state or can be sitting, if needs to. Reiki can be given and received anywhere and at any time, including distantly which is just as effective. In person, the practitioner will place their hands lightly, without pressure and non-evasively on or above the recipient, starting from the head and shoulders then above them and down to the feet. Additional hand placements can be done on or over injuries if needed. Seher tends not to use much contact as she finds the Angelic Reiki energy is powerful enough, all practitioners and their clients will differ. Every recipient will have their own personal and very different experiences, some may notice a change in temperature, feel energy moving through their body, see colours or visions, some may dose off to sleep as they feel more tranquil and meditative. The practitioner will then speak to them after and make sure that they’re hydrated as the body needs more water when doing any energy work.
